Building upon personal and shared experiences, Elijah's choreography responds to issues relating to community, faith-centered themes, and mental health. His creative process stems from various approaches in improvisation, task-based collaboration, and generating inspired by music. In addition, he derives movement from the likes of contemporary, modern, ballet, and jazz among others. Elijah enjoys investing both in solo and ensemble work as he sets an inviting, intimate, and invigorating environment for any and all collaborators in the room to challenge and imbue their artistry and humanity throughout the process.
