Building upon personal and shared experiences, Elijah's choreography responds to issues relating to community, faith-centered themes, and mental health. His creative process stems from various approaches in improvisation, spontaneous creation, task-based collaboration, and music-driven movement generating. In addition, he derives movement from the likes of contemporary, modern, ballet, and jazz styles. Elijah enjoys investing both in solo and ensemble work as he sets an inviting, intimate, and invigorating environment for all collaborators in the room to be creatively challenged and recognize their shared artistry and humanity throughout the process.
